The 2022 Kent County Senior Millage Funding Process

The Area Agency on Aging of Western Michigan (AAAWM) will accept Letters of Intent for 2022 Kent County Senior Millage (KCSM) funds. This special KCSM Letter of Intent will be released on January 10, 2022 and the submission deadline is February 10, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. The Letter of Intent should be emailed to Kendrick Heinlein, Director of Contract Services, at KendrickH@aaawm.org.

This Letter of Intent will focus solely on technology support and technology training for older adults. The Kent County Senior Millage Review Committee (KCSMRC) has benchmarked $50,000, in Kent County Senior Millage funds to go towards assisting older adults with technology in 2022, recognizing there is an increased need for this support.

A Letter of Intent Workshop is scheduled for Friday, January 28, 2022 from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm. A link to the Microsoft Teams Meeting will be provided upon request. Letters of Intent for this proposal will be reviewed by the Kent County Millage Review Committee. Agencies will be notified by February 28, 2022 if they are permitted to complete a full proposal. Proposals will be due March 22, 2022 at 5:00 pm.
